The Hangover

Last night was a bit of a doozy and I have been paying for it all day.
So instead going and taking a photo, I am posting some of the unused photos I have from the Phom Penh Post 7 days shoot.
Hope you like them.

Three portraits

Three very different portraits taken during the magic hour at Psar Thmei. Enjoy!

First off is the security guard that let Georgia, Rick and I take some shots inside the construction area.

Second is a gentleman sharpening some knives outside Psar Thmei. I like the booties.

Street scenes

Woke up a bit early to have a walk with my good friend Andrea. A former resident of Phnom Penh, her and I used to walk around the city in the morning looking for the ultimate pork and rice joints around town.
Taken this morning looking for some great pork and rice.

Hitching a ride

Went to the Sihanoukville Port today for a shipping company. Had some fun shooting containers going on and off the trucks (seriously). And witnessed a worker catching a ride on a truck.

A trippy tuk tuk ride

I took a tuk tuk today from the house to Sovanna Mall to visit a client. After several mishaps which included hitting (more like grazed) a moto filled with chickens, almost getting run over by a Lexus with no plates that ran a red light and watching two girls on the same moto yell at each other, finally made it to the Mall unscathed but a bit bemused.

Phnom Penh from the 6th floor

Had a meeting about some corporate photography this morning. I was able to view the site and take some pics with my Ricoh GX200. If you know Phnom Penh a bit, you can figure out where I took it.
Taken from the 6th floor with a Ricoh GX200 and stitched together with AutoPano Pro Tools stitching software.

Kien Svay with Luu Meng

Out with Luu Meng from Malis restaurant today for a fah Thai story that will probably run in December.
Can’t say what it is about. You will just have to check out their magazine.

Just a couple of interesting photos out of it. We had to walk on this really dodgy bamboo bridge for the story. It was pretty nerve wracking to walk on it with all the camera gear….

Gold Tower 42 construction

Building is underway again in a major way at South Korean-funded Yon Woo’s construction monstrosity project Gold Tower 42. I drive by it almost daily to head to Lucky Supermarket and am amazed how much as been done in the past few weeks. Taken this morning around 9:30.
Check out the bottom left hand corner of the first photo and look for the awesome shirt.
